Summer Color Shift to Red and Green

To celebrate Christmas-in-July, the color wheel must shift from red, white and blue to red and green! Here's my installment for my publisher's "Small Town Christmas" collection, which stays Kansas-true with the setting in Wellington, south of where I live in Wichita. When an oversize Douglas fir lands in her hospital lobby as the community's Christmas tree, administrator Rondi Kaye decides to have the citizens place holiday wishes for kind deeds on gift tag decorations to put some heart back in the town's traditional celebration.
