Growing in the Corners
Last night's ample rain came like a blessing for those of us trying to keep a garden plot or front lawn watered. What I attempt to accomplish with my little watering can is multiplied a thousand fold when God releases his atmospheric supply. The four crape myrtle saplings we planted along the southeast corner of the house are blooming bright pink for the first time. A notoriously difficult spot for cultivating anything green, it looks like we may have struck on the right combination of botanical "want to" and "can do." A few technical tools have stretched my writing abilities lately. Perhaps I can draw some motivation to grow in my corners from the little crinkly blossoms now gracing the back of the garage.
